Generation No. 1

1.  NATHAN FEGLEY was born 27 March 1826 in Longswamp Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, and died 21 February 1878 in Pennsylvania.  He married LOVINA ROTHENBERGER, daughter of JOSEPH ROTHENBERGER and MARIA MEITZLER.  She was born 23 June 1825 in Longswamp Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania1, and died 03 November 1908 in Borough of Macungie, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.

          Obituary, Allentown Morning Call
          
                    Mrs. Nathan Fegley, the aged widow,
          died Tuesday at the home of her son-in-law,
          Frank Miler on Church St., Macungie, in her
          85th year. She suffered from ills incident to
          her years, though the immediate cause of
          her death was heart failure. Deceased was
          a daughter of the long-deceased Joseph
          Rothenberger and was born at Alburtis. Her
          husband preceeded her in death 31 years ago.
          She resided with her daughter, Mrs. Miller,
          for 22 years. There were born unto her eleven
           children, of whom six preceeded the mother.
          The survivors are Mrs. William Schubert of
          Allentown; Alvin Fegely; Mrs. John
          Seibert and Mrs. Miller, with whom she resided,
          of Macungie; Manoah of Kutztown, and Mrs.
          John Oswald, of Wescosville. There also
          survive a large number of grandchildren and
          some great-grandchildren.
                    The funeral will be held on Saturday
          with services at her late home at 12:45 P.M.
          after which the cortege will proceed by train to
          Mertztown where internment will be made.
          Deceased was a member of the Reformed
      Congregation there. Rev. M. H. Brensinger
          will conduct the services. Undertaker Levi
          Funk has charge of the remains.

2.  LOUISA S. FEGLEY (NATHAN1) (3,4) was born 31 August 1867 in Longswamp Township, Berks County, Pa. and died 11 May 1956 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pa. She married FRANK J. J. MILLER, son of JACOB MILLER and MARY GABEL.  He was born 21 September 1863 in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pa., and died 01 January 1944 in Macungie, Lehigh County, Pa..

          Louisa was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and Grace Lutheran Church of Emmaus. At the time of her death, Louisa was living with her daughter, Meda, and Meda's husband, L.W. Shelly. She had 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

          Mrs. Louisa S. (Fegley) Miller, widow
          of Frank J.J. Miller, died last night in the
          home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
          and Mrs. L.W. Shelly, 1125 N. 19th St.,
          Allentown.
                    Born 88 years ago in Longswamp
          Twp. Berks County, She was a daughter of the
          late Nathan and Lovina (Rothenberger) Fegley.
                    She was a member of Grace Lutheran
          Church, Macungie, and the Ladies Aid Society.\
           She is survived by two sons, Walter J.
          Miller, Emmaus; Fred F. Miller, Allentown; Four
          daughters, Clara, wife of Forrest Weaver, Emmaus;
          Meda, wife of L.W. Shelly, Allentown; Mrs. Mamie
          Wean, Allentown; and Marie, wife of Lloyd Spon-
          heimer, Emmaus, and a sister, Mrs. Annie
          Seifert, Allentown. There are 11 grandchildren,
          21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-
          grandchildren.
                    Her husband preceeded her in death
          12 years ago.
                    Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday
          in the Clarence R. Ritter Funeral Home, 36-38
          S. 5th St., Emmaus.

               Frank J.J. Miller, husband
    of Louisa (Fegely) Miller, 120 Race St.,
    Macungie, died at his late residence on
    Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m.. He had
    been employed at the Donaldson Iron co.
    Emmaus until 17 years ago when failing
    health caused him to retire.
               Born in Lower Macungie township,
    Lehigh county, he was the son of the late
    Jacob and Amanda (Xander) (?) Miller. He
    had been a resident of Macungie for the last
    40 years.
               Surviving are his wife Louisa, nee
    Fegely, Miller; four daughters, Mrs. Forrest
    Weaver, at home; Mrs. L.W. Shelly, Allentown;
    Mrs. Mamie Wean, at home; and Mrs. Lloyd
    Spoonheimer, Emmaus; two sons, Walter J.
    and Fred F., both of Allentown; 13 grandchildren
    and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Morris
    M. Miller, Allentown; and three sisters, Mrs. Clara
    Hoffman, Pottstown; Mrs. Lizzie Marcks, Emmaus;
    and Mrs. Mame Stansfield, Allentown.
               Services will be conducted on Wednesday
    at 2 p.m. at the Ritter and Buzby funeral home,
    36-38 S. 5th st. Emmaus. Rev. Jesse Renninger
    pastor of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Macungie,
    to which Mr. Miller was affiliated, will administer
    the last rites. Interment in the Moravian Cemetery,
   Emmaus.

          On March 20, 1909, Frank purchased a parcel of land from Alvin J. Fegley and his wife for the sum of $234.00. The lot, in the Borough of Macungie, was located at the northwest corner of  Race and Cedar Streets.
          Frank sold this land in 1930 for the some of $1.00 to John G. Seifert.
